We collect information to provide better AI-driven recipe generation, personalized culinary advice, and reliable account sync across your devices. The information collected includes:

• Account & Profile Data: Display name, email address, and profile picture (when signing in via Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple).
• Uploaded Photos: Photos of food items or fridge ingredients captured via camera or selected from photo library for recipe recognition.
• Culinary Preferences: Saved recipes, dietary restrictions, preferred cuisines, and cooking history created inside the app.
• Device & Usage Diagnostics: Technical data such as device type, operating system version, anonymous crash logs, and app interaction telemetry.

2. Account Authentication

When you register or sign into ChefRecipe AI using third-party identity providers (such as Apple ID or Google Authentication):

• We process your basic identity payload (Name, Email address, unique User Identifier) to authenticate your session.
• If you choose "Hide My Email" through Sign in with Apple, we receive only the randomized relay address generated by Apple.
• We store authentication tokens securely using encrypted local device storage (Keychain / Encrypted Shared Preferences) and Cloud Firestore security rules.

3. Uploaded Ingredient Photos & Camera Access

ChefRecipe AI allows you to take pictures of ingredients in your fridge or pantry to automatically detect foods and generate customized recipes.

• Camera Permission: Camera access is strictly requested on-demand when you tap the photo button. Camera access can be revoked at any time in device system settings.
• Image Processing: Uploaded images are transmitted securely via HTTPS/TLS 1.3 to our AI visual analysis engine.
• Storage & Retention: Image data is processed ephemerally for instant recipe identification. Photos are not retained for public display or published externally.

4. AI Processing & Generative Models

Our core recipe generation features rely on advanced Artificial Intelligence models (including Cloud AI / OpenRouter / Gemini API models).

5. Purchases & In-App Subscriptions

ChefRecipe AI offers optional premium subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly access plans).

• In-app purchases are handled directly through Apple App Store or Google Play Store billing infrastructures (and verified via RevenueCat).
• Financial Privacy: We do NOT collect, store, or process credit card details, bank account credentials, or financial payment info on our servers. All transaction billing is governed by the respective store's privacy policy.

6. Data Security Standards

We employ multi-layered administrative, technical, and physical security measures to safeguard your personal data:

• Encryption in transit using TLS 1.3 protocol.
• Encryption at rest using AES-256 standards for Firebase databases and cloud storage repositories.
• Strict identity-based Cloud Firestore Security Rules ensuring users can only read and modify their own account data.

7. User Data Rights & Account Deletion

You maintain complete control over your personal data. Under applicable privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and Apple App Store Requirements), you have the right to access, export, or permanently delete your data.
